Since the beginning of 2015, AM-Eska has stopped producing diesel fuel. Previously, they planned to sell 1 liter for 410 drams, but after recent market developments and Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, the price offered by the company does not correspond to the market. There are also obstacles related to the dollar-dram ratio.
"We still don't understand in which direction we can move. We have supplied technical carbon to rubber producing companies, we hope to sign long-term contracts. There is also a possibility to export to the Russian Federation," says Vahan Gharibyan.
The company has other problems and challenges as well. In particular, they have loans taken from commercial banks in foreign currency, the payment of which has become difficult due to the temporary stoppage of production.
They expect the support of the state in solving the problems. According to Vahan Gharibyan, if a relevant law is approved, according to which the companies are obliged to submit the tires for processing, they will be able to create similar workshops in the marzes and expand the production.
He suggests, "The state could support us by purchasing diesel fuel used in government agencies from us. Alternatively, we could produce fuel for heating schools, which would offer better parameters and lower prices."
The founders of "AM-Eska" see significant potential and are awaiting clarity to enter the market and determine the most advantageous direction to pursue.
"We also want to manage the processing of used oils. We have applied to the relevant authorities and are awaiting the results of the examination. Additionally, gas is generated during production, and we aim to develop a greenhouse economy where we can utilize that gas," Vahan Gharibyan adds.
The factory is not yet fully constructed. They are taking their time because they want to thoroughly study and understand future directions, ensuring that the facility meets the company's requirements.
